La pianta madre è stata ritrovata nella zona di Pietralunga  (PG). L’albero è molto vigoroso e rustico, a portamento espanso. La fioritura è tardiva, per lo più nella seconda  decade di aprile. La pezzatura  del frutto è piccola, di forma arrotondata, con umbone assente. Il picciolo è molto lungo e colorato . Il colore della buccia è rosso scurissimo con sfumatura marrone.  La polpa è di colore rosso scuro, di consistenza tenera, aderente al nocciolo. Di eccellente sapore, dolce  e molto aromatica. Matura tardivamente l’ultima decade di giugno.

The mother plant was found in the Pietralunga area (PG). The tree is very vigorous and rustic, with an expanded habit. Flowering is late, mostly in the second decade of April.
