Ritrovata nelle zone appenniniche del Centro Italia, non se ne conosce l’origine. Rara e ormai poco diffusa. L’albero è poco vigoroso e a forma espansa. La fioritura è in epoca media e la fruttificazione avviene soprattutto sulle lamburde. Il frutto è medio piccolo, rotondeggiante e schiacciato ai poli, con scanalature evidenti che formano nella sezione quasi una stella.  La buccia è di colore bianco latte (da qui il nome) e di buona consistenza. Assenti le lenticelle. Picciolo corto inserito in una cavità chiusa e profonda. La cavità calicina è invece aperta e poco profonda. La polpa è bianchissima, croccante e acidula, di buon sapore. Serbevole.

Found in the Apennine areas of Central Italy, its origin is unknown. Rare and now not very common. The tree is not very vigorous and has an expanded shape. Flowering occurs in an average period and fruiting occurs mainly on the lamburde. The fruit is medium-small, round and flattened at the poles, with evident grooves that form almost a star in the section. The peel is milky white (hence the name) and of good consistency. Absent the lenticels. Short petiole inserted in a closed and deep cavity. The calycin cavity is instead open and shallow. The pulp is very white, crunchy and acidulous, with a good flavor. Storable.
