Diffuso nella zona di Amelia e Narni, non se ne conosce l’origine. Pianta  di buon vigore, molto rustica, è adatta anche a terreni pesanti  o siccitosi.  La fioritura è medio tardiva, il frutto che matura la seconda metà di  agosto,  è grande di forma ovoidale allungata, con buccia spessa e di colore violaceo non scuro. La polpa è giallo verdognola e non aderente al nocciolo. Era tenuta in grande considerazione per l’ essiccazione anche perché di grande sapore e dolcezza.

Flowering is medium-late, the fruit that ripens in the second half of August is large with an elongated ovoid shape, with a thick skin and a not dark purple color. The pulp is greenish yellow and not adherent to the stone. It was held in high regard for drying also because of its great flavor and sweetness.
