E’ diffusa comunemente nelle alte colline e montagna dell’Umbria, di propagazione da seme. L’albero è poco vigoroso, la fioritura è medio tardiva e la maturazione avviene dalla seconda decade  di agosto. Il frutto è rotondo, di pezzatura media , con buccia violacea e polpa gialla attaccata al nocciolo. Aromatica e profumata, di buon sapore e abbastanza dolce.

It is commonly found in the high hills and mountains of Umbria, from seed propagation. The tree is not very vigorous, flowering is medium-late and ripening occurs from the second decade of August. The fruit is round, of medium size, with a purplish skin and yellow pulp attached to the stone. Aromatic and fragrant, with a good flavor and quite sweet.
