Diffusa in tutta l’Umbria e in particolare nel ternano, è  pianta molto rustica e frugale. Fiorisce in epoca medio precoce ed è molto  produttiva. I frutti maturano precocemente a fine giugno inizio luglio, di forma rotonda medio piccoli. La buccia è di colore giallo carico così come la polpa Come dice il nome stesso, di sapore molto dolce e adatto alle marmellate , si conserva molto poco.
